Recently I have decided to go tea total for a while, as after some heavy weekends I felt it was time to detox. Well my fiances family are quite big drinkers and encourage me to drink with them especially planning the wedding. My abstinence has cnvinced my mother in law to be that I am pregnant and she doesn’t believe me when I protest.

It has made me think a lot about the old fashioned shot gun weddings, it used to be that couples would refrain from… erm… coupling until the wedding night. Therefore if a woman were to get pregnant the pair would be forced to get hitched, the father traditionally forced down the aisle with a shotgun to his head.

Noadays this is not so much of an issue as it is more and more common for people to have children out of wedlock. Although I think I’ll wait till I’m married before we start thinking about starting a family as my Grandmother is quite traditional and I wouldn’t be surprised if she had a shot gun hidden somewhere.

I went to Manchester Wedding Fair last month, held at what used to be the GMEX and is now Manchester Central. It is the first time I went to this fair, last year I went to Harrogate Bridal Show which was very impressive.

Manchester Bridal show was a bit disapointing, I still had to pay the same amount to get in but it was no where near the same sort of size as Harrogate was. Firstly I didn’t kmow where to go, I was given vague directions by someone that worked there but myself and about 7 or 8 others just stumbled around till we found the back entrance to Manchester Central.

The show was very small with only about 100 stalls all in the same hall, there was a fashion show in the middle which was quite entertaining but used up a lot of space.

The stalls were quite good but they were mostly photographers and teeth whitening products. I went to the fair hoping to try dresses and look for a venue but there weren’t many dress stalls and all the venue stalls seemed a bit needy.

I enjoyed my self but did not find anything of any use for my wedding.

Every bride wants to look gorgeous on her wedding day. So for this purpose I have gone straight to the experts to get their best tips for how to do EVERYTHING to look beautiful on big day. So whether you are planning to look natural or all-out glam, following are the tips for you.
1. Fix an eye makeup mishap.
Be extra careful  when you fix an eye makeup mishap as  you have already smudged and you don’t want to make it worse or you’ll have to start everything again from scratch. So it is advised by the experts to go slowly so you don’t take off too much!
2. Avoid Shirley Temple curls.
A bride’s worst nightmare is pageant-perfect curls. To get a natural look, wrap a section of hair around the outside of the barrel and hold it for few seconds then release and let cool, then lightly run your fingers through your hair.
3. Touch up your makeup.
You may not have time to redo your makeup before the reception starts, but with the help of Collagen Beauty Products you should give yourself a quick once-over in order to make sure you keep looking great.

On their honeymoon Charlie Sheen and his new bride Brooke Mueller have revisited the spot where they got engaged.

A source told that they love the landscape there and was eager to go back. The couple got engaged in July 2007 during a romantic holiday.

Charlie presented a watch to Brook engraved with the words: “B. – Wanna get married? . . . Love – C”.

Once she said yes, he gave her a £250,000 platinum engagement band.

Meanwhile, the couple have denied that they are expecting a baby but stated that having kids is the next step for them. Brooke said they would like a big family.

Wedding guests invited by Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s in their wedding, earlier this year, have failed to donate money to charity as it was requested by the Rooney and Coleen.

The couple had suggested guests that instead of giving wedding gifts to them, they should donate to a children’s hospice in Wirral.

But sadly so far just five of the 64 guests who attended the wedding have coughed up.

A spokesperson of the charity told the BBC that the newly married had been hugely supportive but that they were still waiting for the donations.

Wayne and Colleen reportedly splashed £5 million on their wedding.

The US soap star will marry in October among celebrity friends. The guest list includes former co-star Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake and Hilary Duff.

She tarred alongside Jessica Biel, in family drama 7th Heaven and has remained close to her ever since.

I was reading an interview in which the newly married couple described their experience with their own wedding. They said that their big day went very smoothly, although it dragged a little in the morning as they didn’t get married until 4PM and were feeling impatient. They described their big day in detail telling each and every bit of their wedding day. They even described the theme and colours of their wedding day and the meal they served to their guests.

But the most interesting point of the interview for me was when they were asked to give any advice to other brides and grooms to be out there.

Apparently, they were gutted to find that the battery on their camcorder ran out partway through the wedding, so they missed some parts of it!  Needless to say, their top advice tip was to have at least one spare camcorder battery when you’re filming a wedding, because you could end up missing the most important part, as happened to them. So for anybody out there who is planning to get married note this advice.  How gutted would you be to find that you missed a special bit.  Hopefully you will only get married once so be sure to get your camcorder at the ready, with a fully charged battery, and treasure every moment!

These days many people prefer marrying abroad. It’s no longer just the bare-foot beach concept either, as many couples choose to marry beside an Italian lake, in a luxury safari camp or on a ski slope or any of a hundred other options. Plus, you don’t have to travel to begin your honeymoon – you’re already there.

Exotic locations aside, marrying abroad can bypass the headaches of booking venues, invitation lists, caterers and flowers. Your entire wedding package can usually be organised by a tour operator or you can use the services of a wedding planner. Rather than a traditional wedding at home, you can plan your own day on a much smaller scale or to ensure everything goes perfectly, why not consider a wedding organiser?

For ideas, inspiration and no-nonsense advice on marrying abroad, here’s a London wedding planner website to check out.
