Do you think life will be blissful after marriage? Well, here’s a shocker for you, according to a research, nearly one-third of newly married couples are physically aggressive. Research found that they face a significant drop in marital satisfaction.

In one study, Erika Lawrence, assistant professor of psychology discovered that 29 percent of newlywed couples are physically aggressive.

More wives than husbands are aggressive — 24 percent versus 16 percent.

It’s also possible that severe aggression causes couples to withdraw from each other, leading to less interaction and opportunity for conflict.

The research has been made on the basis of 164 couples who completed annual questionnaires during their first three years of marriage.

One of the oldest homes in Britain has been opened as the newest wedding venue. Couples are able to hold ‘flintstone’ wedding ceremonies within UK’s oldest prehistoric place.

Kent’s Cavern in Devon can now allow people to get wed if they have been granted a marriage license. Happy couples can tie the knot in the same place where a 40,000 year old jawbone of a man was discovered. And it is believed to be the oldest human bone in Europe.

Few bookings have already been taken by the managers of the caves located near Torquay.  Gillian Woodland, and Alan Duckworth, 38 will be the first to say ‘I do’ within the backdrop of the 385 million year old limestone walls.

A Muslim couple solemnised the marriage of their adopted daughter Babita, born to Hindu parents, as per Hindu traditions.

The couple, Ghulam Mohammad and Rashida Begum performed all religious traditions of a Hindu marriage. Even for some of the wedding events they asked their neighbors for help as they could not do them being Muslim.

The story began 14 years ago, when Ghulam Mohammad and Rashida Begum adopted Babita. They were having only two sons and desire for a daughter prompted them to adopt her. Babita’s father Chander Yadav had died in 1994, and soon after, her mother also fell ill. Before the death of her mother Ghulam and his wife adopted Babita and assured her mother of treating her as their own child.

They kept their promise by all accounts by treating Babita as their own child.

However, Both Ghulam and his wife don’t think that what they have done was anything extraordinary. “It was the marriage of my own daughter,” he said, “and I did what every father has been doing since ages.
