The New Year is fast approaching and for any one planning a 2009 wedding realisation will hit home once the hangover has died down on the 1st January.

It is easy to think about your wedding when it is next year and not be too stressed about it but when it is the same year the pressure piles on and all of a sudden you realise it is only a few months to plan, organise, get the small details sorted, and even lose weight.

All of a sudden there are not enough hours in a day, but brides should lean on their friends and family, delegate tasks and remeber it is a day of celebration not a military operation. 2009 weddings will be a ray of hope in the economic climate and helpraise every ones spirits. It is important that Brides do not get to stressed out but enjoy the tasks in hand.

Wedding Bridal Studios are desperately trying to get you to spend money with them, weddings are big business and there is a lot of competition so there are a few wedding sales techniques you need to watch out for…

  1. Making you feel at home- Wedding studios will sit you down with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, is all just to get your defenses down. The sales team will build up a quick rapport with you and try to put you at ease. By lowering your inhibitions and making you feel they are your friend you trust them not to rip you off which could be a costly mistake.
  2. Confusing you- the sales person will compliment you and assume things on your behalf, they will also discuss various items you will want that are not included and imply the waste. A perfect example is the photography. A photography will take over 100 shots of which perhaps 24 are included. The rest of the shots will be ‘thrown away’ making you think what a waste from your special day. To get the extra images could cost thousands.
  3. Upsell- the confusion almost always leads the sales person into the up sell where your initial budget will be blown out of the water completely!

Watch out for these sales tactics if you want to have the wedding you want without the pressure. Not all sales people are the same but be aware a sales persons job is to get as much money as they can off you and will be getting a nice commission from it as well.

The most popular wedding seasons are Spring and Summer as the weather is usually a bit better and a good way for people to get together. Some people however prefer a winter wedding where the dressed is layered and warm and they can wear a shawl.

There are many reasons why people choose a winter wedding;

  • Cheaper, out of season venues offer discounts
  • Preference, some people prefer winter as a season to Spring or Summer
  • Family nostalgia, some people assosciate winter and Christmas with warmth, family and love so like to hold their wedding at this time of year.
  • Shotgun, once engaged some people just can’t wait to get married.

We all know about some traditions but did you know there are also traditions over choosing which day and month you get married in?

Saturdays are the most popular day to get married, this is mostly down to convenience of people being available as a lot of people work during the week. But traditionally it is the worst day to get married on.

The best day is a Wednesday but it is very unusual for people these days to get married on a Wednesday.

This rhyme explains the days of the week;

Monday for wealth
Tuesday for health
Wednesday the best day of all
Thursday for losses
Friday for crosses
Saturday for no luck at all

This rhyme mentions nothing of a Sunday which is strange as many people get married on a Sunday in modern times but it was probably unthinkable in yester year as Sunday is the Lords Day and should not have been taken away from that. Also conjugal rights would come into question.

What about the month? Summer has turned into the most popular wedding month as it has better weather and recently has become the wedding season but is it the most fortuous time of year to get married?

May is said to be the worst time to get married and on the religeous note again any time during lent is a bad time to marry as lent is traditionally a time of abstinence.

Married when the year is new, he’ll be loving, kind and true.
When February birds do mate, You wed nor dread your fate.
If you wed when March winds blow, joy and sorrow both you’ll know.
Marry in April when you can, Joy for Maiden and for Man.
Marry in the month of May, and you’ll surely rue the day.
Marry when June roses grow, over land and sea you’ll go.
Those who in July do wed, must labour for their daily bred.
Whoever wed in August be, many a change is sure to see
Marry in September’s shrine, your living will be rich and fine.
If in October you do marry, love will come but riches tarry.
If you wed in bleak November, only joys will come, remember.
When December snows fall fast, marry and true love will last.

Marry in May and you’ll live to rue the day

In times like these where money is tight more and more couples are bringing their budgets down and taking off abroad to get married. Most British weddings can cost between £10,000 and £25,000 this is not including the big extravagant weddings some people go for.

When looking at receptions a lot of places charge around £100 per head to get an average meal and a buffet, so when you take into consideration the bride and groom, immediate family, bridesmaids, best man your looking at thousands just on food and drink. Then you have to think about family politics… you have to invite great Aunt Edna because she won’t be around much longer or your Mums best friend who has known you since you were little, and if anyone has a partner your doubling your costs straight away.

It is no wonder people are giving up and going for all inclusive holiday packages, you cut down the stragglers on your guest list as not everyone will want to pay for flights but the important people will come and you can have a great wedding including car, flowers, food and entertainment for about £5,000.

Luke was shocked at the £250,000 price tag on a ring Rebecca liked while shopping in London. Seems the credit crunch is having an impact on Luke.

Bulgaria is in the honeymoon stage of European Union membership by having a construction boom from Black Sea to Sofia. The projected economic growth of Bulgaria for the year 2007 was 6%. Due to these positive indicators many people especially from Europe are investing in Bulgarian property.  But Bulgaria is also considered as one of the best places in Europe for vacations and honeymoon.

There are tons of enjoyable places in Bulgaria. However I would like to write about the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The Bulgarian Black Sea coast was inhabited few centuries ago. It is a very popular place among thousands of Bulgarians and foreign visitors. It covers the entire eastern bound of Bulgaria. The white and golden sandy beaches occupy 130 kilo meter of 378 kilo meter coast. It is an important centre for tourism during summer season e.g. May to October. The average temperature of the area in summer is about 28°C.
So if you want to have the nice sunny holidays next year then I would suggest you to visit The Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The accommodation charges vary from 25 Euros to 60 Euros, depending upon the area and the facilities provided by the hotel.
