After reaching their 100th birthdays the seven friends from a care home have been named as Ton-Up Girls. They have been described as lively by the management of Pulsford Lodge care home in Somerset. They all have good memories and enjoy the parties as they have achieved a milestone which is significant.

The oldest in the group is Ethel Easton aged 103 then Rosuna Jefferies aged 101. Rest of the others who reached their 100th birthdays is Margot Spicer, Effie Northcott, Helen Cutbill Phyllis Jones and Hilda Henley. But they soon will be having another recruit named Florence Scott who will be 100 in October.

It has been reported that footballer Ashley Cole is planning to renew his wedding vows with wife Cheryl during their holidays in Dubai. It has been said by The Sun that the Chelsea player will take his wife to a romantic break after the end of football season.

Ashley Cole wants to take his singer wife Cheryl back to the place where he proposed her in 2005.

A guy dropped the engagement ring while he was proposing his girlfriend on Brooklyn Bridge in New York.

Don Walling got down on one knee and proposed the girlfriend Gina Pellicani but seems like he got confused and he dropped the ring on the pedestrian walkway of Brooklyn Bridge in New York.

Don walling braved and went down to the lower span to collect the ring but he was greeted by police who thought that he is going to suicide. But when he assure police that he is there to retrieve the ring he was greeted by police who thought he was about to jump.

Police has stopped the traffic and Don was able to retrieve the ring with the help of passers by. The couple is now planning to marry in April 2004.

A couple from Burnham became the country’s second couple to celebrate the 80th wedding anniversary. Walter Postings and Beatrice Postings celebrated their wedding anniversary with family. The couple lives at the Tudor Lodge residential home in Burnham.

Walter and Beatrice are believed to be the second longest married couple after Frank and Anita. Frank and Anita from Plymouth reached their oak in May last year.

The couple married on March 27 1929 in Gloucester, just two years after meeting when they were 18.
