Space is the final frontier in wedding venues and one couple have vowed to be the first to tie the knot there.

An American aerospace firm and a Japanese company called First Advantage are offering engaged couples the chance to marry 100 kilometres above the Earth from 2011 onwards.

Couples can book their £1.1 million package from first of July, Cindy and Mitch Walling have done just that.

Author Cashman revealed that after a feeling that she would be the first bride in space she took to the internet to find herself a groom.

Mitch Walling admitted that he was surprised to find out his fiancee’s wedding plans, after agreeing to marry her.
