TV star David Otunga and actress Jennifer Hudson are engaged.

Otunga proposed Hudson on by presenting a diamond ring to her on her 27th birthday.

People magazine reported the couple’s agent who said that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in LA.

Hudson is currently promoting her new film and about to release a debut album.

Hudson and Otunga met after Otunga was booted out of US reality TV show I Love New York 2.

Hudson rose to celebrity status after she appeared in American Idol and touring the show for two years.

Her performance in Dream Girls won her a Golden Globe award.
