A couple from Burnham became the country’s second couple to celebrate the 80th wedding anniversary. Walter Postings and Beatrice Postings celebrated their wedding anniversary with family. The couple lives at the Tudor Lodge residential home in Burnham.

Walter and Beatrice are believed to be the second longest married couple after Frank and Anita. Frank and Anita from Plymouth reached their oak in May last year.

The couple married on March 27 1929 in Gloucester, just two years after meeting when they were 18.

In an interview to Daily Telegraph Walter said that the secret of their happy marriage was compromise and it is all about give and take.  Whereas his wife Beatrice said that she just lover her husband and that’s it!
