In Leicestershire, a couple who was celebrating their silver wedding anniversary by having a cowboy-themed party were surprised to see armed police teams moved in on the pub venue.

Roy and Worthington from Castle Donington were celebrating their wedding anniversary with toy guns when police helicopter and cars get crashed the party.

A member of public called the police when he saw a man walking down to the street with a rifle, but in fact that was merely a toy gun and he was on his way to the party.

The couple had already informed the police in November about the party. A police spokesman said that no action has been taken against anybody.
